Nestled in the heart of Nova Scotia's beautiful Annapolis Valley rests 14
Wing Greenwood, the largest air base on the East Coast. Aurora crews conduct
sovereignty and surveillance missions over the Atlantic Ocean routinely, while
search and rescue capabilities are maintained 365 days of the year
Located on Route 201 and just 3
kilometres off the 101 Highway, south through the Village of Kingston, can be
found the thriving community of Greenwood. The Village of Greenwood and 14 Wing
Personnel Married Quarter's together have a combined population of approximately
4,500 people.
Located in the “heart” of the
scenic Annapolis Valley, Middleton also boasts a historic streetscape, community
parks, and special attractions like the MacDonald Museum and the Memory Lane
Rail Museum. For site seers, Middleton is within easy reach of the Fundy Shore
and national historic sites in Annapolis County
The Annapolis Valley Regional
School Board (AVRSB) covers the area from Mount Uniacke in Hants County to Bear
River, Annapolis County
Kingston District School is located in the heart
of the Annapolis Valley in a multicultural community. Presently, there are
nineteen classrooms in total, with six French Immersion classes from Primary to
Five. The average class size is twenty-five or lower whenever possible.

The permanent displays encompass
the early formation of the base in 1942 and proceed through the Lancaster,
Neptune, Argus and Aurora eras. The history of Greenwood’s present day
squadrons: 14 AMS, 404, 405, 413, 415, 434 and 14 SES are proudly displayed in a
special area set aside for the squadron historians.
Paragon Golf and Country Club is a semiprivate golf course consisting of 18
of the finest golf holes in the Annapolis Valley. There is a mixture of
tree-lined fairways with tight greens as well as wide open fairways with
accomodating greens. Water hazards and sand traps add to your golfing experience
as you wend your way through the course.
14 Wing Greenwood Golf Club is regarded as one of Nova Scotia's best kept
secrets. Located with the confines of 14 Wing Greenwood, the course winds along
the meandering Annapolis river among the many towering oaks. This 18 hole layout
is comprised of both parkland and links style golf holes. Don't stray too far
from the fairway or you will soon find out why this course has the reputation of
" The Challenge". Enjoy your beautiful surroundings of turf, trees, water and
wildlife as you make your way around this picturesque gem.
